Vocational Students Participate In Technician For A Day

Sixty-five vocational high school students participated Wednesday in the first annual Technician for a Day program, offered by the Ohio Contractors Association. The students from Mansfield Senior, and the Knox County and Ashland-West Holmes Career Centers gathered at the Ohio Army National Guard base in Mansfield to learn about career opportunies in the mechanical technician field. The students also got some first-hand instruction about construction vehicles and equipment they would work with. The Ohio Army National Guard offered its facilities for the Technician for a Day program, and says they're welcome to return each year.
