Richland County Transit continues working on getting its annual subsidy funding from the county, and the cities of Mansfield and Ontario.

After the use of Community Development Block Grant money for public transportation was phased-out, the commissioners allocated $70,000 from the general fund.

Mansfield City Council is considering doing the same thing, while Ontario City Council still gives nothing to R-C-T.

The transit board is asking Mansfield for $50,000, and would like Ontario to pay $30,000, as it did before budget contraints caused it to cut funding.

R-C-T buses take 15,000 people a year to Ontario.
