Mehock Relays Run Under Sunny Skies

Lakewood St.Edward made it three straight Mehock Relays championships as the Eagles outpaced Cleveland Glenville 81-50. On the girls side Solon ran past runner-up Gahanna Lincoln 107-77. The top local finishing team on the boys side was Madison in 14th, while the top finisher on the girls side was Ashland in 10th.

Some of the top local performances were turned in by Shelby's Cody Stine who won the boys' high jump at 6'6". Ontario's Eddrich Deloach- Holley of Ontario was 5th at 6'. Madison's Frank Douglas was third in the 110 meter high hurdles in 14.67, 2nd in the 300 meter hurdles in 38.8. Ontario's Lenell Shelby was fifth in 41.2.

In the distance events the Ashland 4x800 meter relay team of Maxx Davidson, Eugene Cho, Andrew Stump and Mark Fick was fourth in 8:28.1. In the 1,600 meter run, Colonel Crawford's Clay Martin finished third at 4:37.3., while in the 3,200 meters Ontario's Brett Cortelletti was second in 9:51.02.

On the girls side, in the discus throw Mariah Mansperger of Ashland finished third with a toss of 126'10". In the girls 4x800 the Galion team of Holly Brammer, Brianna Wallis, Megan Zier and Michaela Slone took third at 10:18.5. The Ashland team of Brooke Duewel, Emily Stump, Heather Jamieson and Courtney Leedy was fifth in 10:24.01. In the sprints, Symphony Cooke of Mansfield Senior took fourth in 12.68.
