Eagle Scout Candidate Indicted For Rape Claim At Blood Drive

The Mansfield teen who suffers from numerous physical and mental disabilities, who held a blood drive to become an Eagle Boy Scout, has been indicted on charges of raping a five-year-old boy at the December event.

Brandon Traicoff, 19,  is charged with Rape and Gross Sexual Imposition in that case, along with Burglary over an incident last month in which he allegedly snuck out of his grandparents' home and made sexual comments to an elderly female neighbor.

Because the alleged rape victim is under the age of ten, a conviction would carry a life sentence. Traicoff also faces up to three years in prison if convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition, plus two-to-eight years if convicted of Burglary. He is in a medical facility outside of Richland County due to his extensive health care needs.
