President Obama Embarks On Four-Country Tour Of Asia

President Obama embarks Tuesday on a four-country tour of Asia, in the hopes of convincing Pacific allies the U.S. remains focused on them. He'll be stopping in Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines. The trip is a rain-check from last October, when the White House nixed a visit to Asia at the last minute amid the government shutdown. There aren't any major announcements expected on this week's trip. But Obama officials hope the visits will yield progress toward showing America's commitment to each country, and the region as a whole.
