Growth and Development Goals Presented To Richland County

Richland County community leaders have some new ideas to consider, as they pursue economic growth for an area hit hard by the recession, job losses, and a population decline.

Nineteen students in a City and Regional Planning studio class at Ohio State University in Columbus Tuesday presented growth and development goals for Richland County, before an audience of local officials at OSU-Mansfield and North-Central State College.

The recommendations include improving employment and housing opportunities that would attract young college-graduate professionals. Accomplishing these goals would require a large financial investment. Ohio State's Fisher College of Business will take on the task of developing a financing plan.
