Ontario Police are expected to release the identity of a woman caught on camera stealing items from a baby's grave site at Mansfield Memorial Park. Her name is Frieda Kay Shade of Mansfield.

She went to the police department, said she was the woman in the video, and offered an explanation.  She said she saw a loose dog on the property and took the stuffed animal to keep the dog from destroying it.

Shade was served a summons for Petty Theft, and appears in Ontario Mayor's Court May 8th at 9:30 am.  She is represented by Attorney Charles Robinson.

This theft happened Saturday, April 19, several hours after Scott and Jaclyn Sheridan placed a stuffed duck on their son's gravesite. Hayden "Tank" Coles Sheridan, died in 2007.

His parents say items such as toys and solar lights have been stolen from the site over the past four years. The family discovered the duck was gone when they went to visit their son's grave on Easter.

Ontario Police set up a camera two years ago in an effort to catch the suspects, stealing items from the gravesite. Police say the images were not clear enough to identify the suspect.

Ontario Police posted video of this latest theft on the department's Facebook page Saturday. The stuffed duck was recovered along the cemetery property.

Thousands of people have watched the video since it was posted on the department's Facebook page.
