A search for the man attempting to throw items over an electric fence at the Mansfield Correctional Institution was called off Tuesday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Murfield of the State Highway Patrol, the man was attempting to throw contraband over the fence to prisoners. Police were informed and began searching the perimeter for the suspect.

The search was called off after they were unable to locate him.
