The new entrance to the courthouse will open later Friday for three weeks until May 21.

Richland County Commissioner Ed Olson says it will be shut down to install tiling and the remaining equipment. Olson said the reason for the delay in finishing the job is to allow the recently poured concrete inside the security entrance to thoroughly dry.

Olson said the new entrance should be fully functional on the morning of May 27 following the Memorial Day weekend.
