Shelby Help Line Ministries held a fundraiser to try and raise money for an addition to their building. The fundraiser is expected to pull in $567,000 for the new addition. $291,000 of that total has already been raised by generous members of the community, including the Richland County Foundation, the Shelby Foundation, the Ada Ford Foundation, and various local businesses.

"There's actually two phases of the campaign," explained Sheryl Cramer, Shelby Help Line Ministries Director. "The first phase is to put up the shell of the building. In phase two, we hope to collect money from the public to have enough for the materials for the inside, which will be finished by volunteers."

Help Line Ministries hopes to have the first phase completed by early December. Funds for the first phase have already been collected, but phase two is still in the process of being funded.
