Final preparations were underway Monday for May primary election day Tuesday. Poll workers were picking-up their voting machines at the Richland County Board of Elections, and taking them to the county's 85 precincts.

Elections Director Paulette Hankins predicts a turn-out of 25 percent or 30percent, which may be optimistic considering the light turn-out for early and absentee voting.

Absentee voting ended Saturday rather than continuing through Monday, due to a change in state law. There are no polling place changes.

If you don't know where to vote, call the Board of Elections at 419-774-5530 or go to its website at www.richlandcountyoh.us.
