Medicare Assistance Event At Samaritan On Main In Ashland

An event helping soon to be beneficiaries understand the basics of Medicare came to Ashland Monday evening. Mary and a handful of volunteers were on hand to assist seniors with their questions about Medicare, on behalf of the Department of Insurance.

OSHIIP, or, the Ohio Senior Insurance Information Program held the "Welcome to Medicare" event, to help Seniors understand the basics of it.

OSHIIP is the state's official source for free and unbiased Medicare information and counseling. With events scheduled across Ohio through the rest of May, there's plenty of opportunities to learn about benefits of Medicare, deadlines and specifics about the different plans.
