No One Seriously Injured In 2-Vehicle Accident In Mansfield

A two-vehicle accident tied up traffic Tuesday afternoon in downtown Mansfield. The accident happend at 11:47 a.m. at the intersection of Mulberry Street and Park Avenue West.

Mansfield Police Sgt. John Alahs said Shelly Simmons was traveling southbound on Mulberry Street in a gray Buick LeSabre. He says Simmons ran a red light, struck the left front side of a gold Chevy Impala driven by Yvonne Frye and then struck a light pole.

Both drivers refused medical treatment. Simmons was cited for running a red light.
