179th Airlift Wing Helps Stingel Students On Earth Day

Stingel Intermediate School third grade students in Ontario celebrated Earth Day Thursday with members of the 179th Airlift Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard and 200th REDHORSE Detachment. Guard members worked with the many third graders to plant flower gardens and trees, mulch and clean up the Stingel forest located behind the school. This is the 15th year guard members have participated in Earth Day, which is actually celebrated nationally on April 22nd. It's recognized at Stingel in May to better cope with Ohio's unpredictable spring weather.
