A one-vehicle accident in Marion has claimed the life of a New Bloomington man.

The accident occurred Thursday at 5:38 p.m. on Ohio 203 near Newmans-Cardington Road.

According the Marion Post of the State Highway Patrol, David E. Gray, 59, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado north when he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a pole. Gray was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Dr. Marc Comianos.

Troopers said Gray was not wearing a seat belt. The crash remains under investigation.
