Warriors Stop Flashes, Gorbett Gets 500

The Ontario baseball team kept themselves in the thick of the NOL baseball championship race with a 13-3 win over the Willard Flashes on Thursday evening. The Warriors built an 8-0 lead before the Flashes could get on the board. The win improved their record to 15-2 in all games and 8-1 in the Northern Ohio League.

In addition, Ontario baseball coach Dan Gorbett earned career win number 500 coaching at three different schools Colonel Crawford, Galion and Ontario. The Warriors have three league games remaining against Tiffin Columbian Friday and next Saturday, then Shelby on Tuesday. The team will open tournament at home against the winner of the Sandusky/Bellevue contest on May 15th.
