Lex Stops Hawken In Tennis

Two state ranked teams squared off in Lexington Monday as the 4th ranked Minutemen slipped past number six Gates Mills Hawken 3-2. Getting wins for the Minutemen were Mason Dragos in number one singles 6-0, 6-0. Lexington's number one doubles team of Matt Youse and Tommy Barkett were 6-3, 6-3 winners, and the Lex team of Matt Barkett and Jansen Webster were winners at number two doubles 7- 5, 3-6, 7-5.

With the win the Minutemen improve to 14-4 on the year and will open sectional individual play on Thursday at Shelby. OTCA district team play begins next week on Tuesday with the semifinals. The district finals will be Wednesday at Bowling Green State University.
