A new bridge has transformed a popular park in Mansfield. A dedication ceremony was held Friday for the "Goin My Way" bridge at North Lake Park.

Mayor Tim Theaker, representatives from the Richland Foundation and area residents celebrated the dedication of the new bridge.

The construction of the bridge was made possible through a generous donation from the Richland Foundation and federal funds.

Mayor Theaker says the original bridge was built in 1974. Theaker thanked the Richland Foundation, Friends of the Parks and volunteers for their support with the project.
