An old-fashioned picnic highlighted the Ashland County Young Republicans Fourth Annual Memorial Day Barbecue held at Brookside Park. Young Republicans Chairman Chris Tunnell says food, fun and entertainment provided by Outback Ray and his Australian Adventure Animal Show, was on the menu for the event, designed to bring families together. The Ashland County Young Republicans also hold other low-key events, like a wine tasting outing at Mitchell's Orchards, to bring young adults together.
