Lex Sending Three to OHSAA State Tennis Competition

This Weekend the Lexington boys tennis team will be sending one singles player Mason Dragos, and one doubles team in Matt Youse and Tommy Barkett off to OHSAA state tennis competition this Friday and Saturday.

Dragos earned the right to advance by downing Pierre Desprat of Lima Central Catholic by scores of 6-3, 6-0. The doubles team of Youse and Barkett advanced by downing Ryan Simon and Matt Gargas of Ottawa Hills 6-1, 6- 4.

On Tuesday evening Lex downed Toledo Ottawa Hills 3-0 to advance to the Ohio Tennis Coaches Association team state final four.  As a team Lexington will face Columbus Academy Sunday morning in the state semifinal at Reynoldsburg.  Lex got wins from all three of their singles players Mason Dragos at #1, Matt Youse at #2 and Tommy Barkett at #3 all winning by scores of 6-0, 6-0.  Lexington comes into this weekend as OTCA defending team state champions.
