The Colonel Crawford track team will try to send several of their athletes to next week's Division III state track meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, something they have made a habit of in recent years. Colonel Crawford's Chelsey Webster will try to reach state in three different events the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash. The senior is shooting for her fourth straight trip to Columbus. Also on the girls side the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay team of Alyssa Spears, Kristen Verhes, Kendra Koge and Sam Mutchler are looking to advance.

On the boys side, the Eagles are also looking to advance their 4x100 and 4x200 meter relay teams comprised of Owen Adams, Brett Bakies, Dylan Gulley and Dalton Scott. The four qualified 3rd and 4th for the regional finals. Bakies is also looking to advance to the state semifinals in the 200 meters. In middle distance Clay Martin is trying to advance to state in both the 1,600 and 800 meters, both events he won at districts. Teammate Adam Cotsmire is also trying to advance in the 800, an event he finished in second behind Martin at last week's district track meet. The Division III state track meet is next Friday and Saturday in Columbus.
