Mansfield Senior High's gymnasium was packed full of parents, siblings, and other family members and friends who came to give graduating seniors a proper send-off in their 2014 graduation ceremony.

"This is a very versatile class, a class that Mansfield can be proud of," said Brad Callender, principal at Mansfield Senior. "I'm proud of each and every one of them. We've got great academics, we've got great athletics, and great fine art students here. I'm looking forward to a fantastic day."

Brian Garverick, superintendent, expressed his enthusiasm for the class of 2014 and talked about the huge achievement they made.

"I'm proud to say we have a record number of scholarships that equated to the amount of $1.8 million for this senior class, one of the smallest ever to graduate in Mansfield Senior," Garverick said. "That's a tribute to our curriculum and the hard work these kids put in."

Callender and Garverick also gave some advice for the soon-to-be graduates.

"Every single thing you say, every single thing you do is about reflecting back on your community, your school, your family. I'm proud of each and every one of you," said Callender, "And I have great hopes for the potential of the class of 2014."

"Don't take anything for granted," advised Garverick. "Don't take anything for granted, and always put your best foot forward - you'll do fine."

The ceremony went off without a hitch, as speeches had parents tearing up and the choir got people to tap their toes as several seniors made their final high school performances.

"It's a great day to be a Tyger," Garverick added.
