Two People Killed In Two-Vehicle Collision In Marion

An investigation continues into a two-vehicle accident that happened at the intersection of Ohio 98 and Marseilles-Galion Road in Marion in which two people were killed.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says an SUV Driven by Kenneth Brewer, 66, of Marion, failed to stop at a stop sign, striking an SUV driven by Angela Bloomfield, 44, of Delaware.

Both drivers succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Dr. Marc Comianos.

A passenger in Brewer's SUV, Nicholos Colegrove, 36, of Marion, was flown by medical helicopter to Grant Medical Center in Columbus and was listed in stable condition.

The patrol says none of the individuals involved in the accident were utilizing safety belts.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff's Office, First Consolidate Fire Department, Marion Township Fire Department, MedCare and Marion County office of the Ohio Department of Transportation.
