The Ashland Golf Club has always been regarded as offering a classic golf experience but now has added plenty of modern touches. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Monday for its new clubhouse and Shanks bar and restaurant for both golf and public use. Co-owners John Peck and Mike Buckingham say they hope the public enjoys the new amenities as much as they enjoy offering them. Also new this year is a new director of golf in Mack McConaha , one of the most highly accredited golf professionals in the state of Ohio. Ashland Golf Club's course is a traditional style eighteen-hole championship course, chipping and putting areas and a driving range. Ashland Golf Club is located at 1333 Center Street on the city's south side.
