Interstate Batteries Appeals For New Sign

Interstate Batteries on West 4th street in Ontario will be receiving a new signage system on their business.

The Ontario Planning Commission initially rejected Interstate Batteries admission for a wall sign permit, but approved an appeal at Wednesday's meeting.

The Lind Media signage system for the project is called "bannerspring", which Jeremy Lucas, Operations Supervisor for Lind Media, says is used on billboards in over 25 counties in Ohio as well as Indiana.

The wall sign was approved by the commission, contingent on Lind Media providing an engineered fatigue rating on the steel used to make the springs on the structure.
