Friends of Ashland County Park District held their second annual Walk in the Park to help raise money for local pet shelters and associated fundraisers.

"We wanted to invite the community out to enjoy Ashland County parks," said Kolleen Crall, fundraising director for Friends of Ashland County Park District. "...and also raise donations and funds for the local shelters, Ashland County Canine, and No Paws Left Behind."

Ashland Police made an appearance at the event to demonstrate how effective their K-9 unit is and to describe how a K9 unit helps officers.
