Shirley Fire Burns More Than 1,800 Acres In California

Crews are battling an 1,800 acre wildfire in central California. The so-called Shirley Fire is only 10-percent contained. The United States Forest Service says westerly winds and dry, drought-like conditions are fueling the flames. Some 500 residents in Kern County received evacuation advisories. There's no word on what caused the fire.
