The annual Amateur Radio Field Day is coming-up in Mansfield, and the Renaissance Theatre is about to undergo some repairs.

Those were the hot topics during today's Richland County Commissioners meeting. The ham radio field day is June 28th and 29th, from 2 pm Saturday to 2 pm Sunday.

The commissioners proclaimed June 22-29 as Amateur Radio Week.

Meanwhile, bids were opened for exterior masonry and roof repair work at the historic Renaissance Theatre in downtown Mansfield.

The commissioners have approved an $84,000 grant from their revolving loan fund for the improvements, which is allowable because the Renaissance was built in 1926 and is on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
