Four Children Suffer Minor Injuries In Rear-End Crash

Four children were hurt in a car accident Thursday afternoon in Crawford County.

The crash occurred on the State Route 598 bridge over U.S. 30, bringing sheriff's deputies, several ambulances, and the Galion and Jefferson Township Fire Department rescue squads to the scene.

The children were in the car that hit the rear of the pick-up truck, which had stopped behind a vehicle turning left onto U.S. 30 eastbound.

Sheriff's Captain Scott Baldosser says they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. They were wearing seat-belts, as were both drivers, who were not hurt.

The driver of the car was not immediately given a citation for failing to maintain an assured clear distance, but Captain Baldosser says he will likely get one.
