The Renaissance Theatre is on much firmer financial footing after paying-off $450,000 of capital debt. President and C.E.O. Michael Miller wrote the final check for $132,000, and announced during a news conference Tuesday, this opens a bright future for the historic theater. Now the 85-year-old building can undergo a facelift that is fully paid for, and will not pile-up more debt.

The Renaissance Theatre still has $475,000 worth of operational debt. Miller says money is budgeted to pay it off in eight years, although he's optimistic it can be done in three.
