Tropical Storm Arthur Could Ruin East Coast Holiday Events

  Original Published: 7/2/2014 Tropical storm Arthur could ruin Fourth of July celebrations for people along the East Coast. The first named storm of the 2014 Atlantic hurricane season is churning off the Atlantic Coast of Central Florida. As of 8 o'clock Tuesday night, the storm was stalled about 90 miles east-southeast of Cape Canaveral. The National Hurricane Center predicts the system will drift northwest before turning north on Wednesday. It could impact the Outer Banks of North Carolina by Thursday night. After that, forecasters expect Arthur to turn northeast.
