A truck driver escapes with only minor injuries, after his rig overturns Wednesday morning on Ohio 39 at Lexington-Springmill Road in Springfield Township.

Vernard Leach Jr., 54,  of Shawnee, Ohio, was turning left from Lex- Springmill, carrying a load of scrap metal, which spilled all over the front yard of 2070 Ohio 39.

Leach declined medical treatment. He was expected to be cited for failure to control.

State Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Belcher had no estimate for how long it would take to remove the truck and clean up the mess in the yard.
