After about a 24-hour delay, NASA's orbiting carbon observatory-two satellite blasted into space Wednesday morning. These are the pictures from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The mission is the first of its kind to study climate change. The satellite will track the dynamics of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, both where it comes from and where it's absorbed. Tuesday's launch was scrubbed due to an issue with the water suppression system.
