Shelby Bicycle Days kicked off with quite a show Thursday night. A one-of-a-kind bicycle safety event hosted by professional BMX riders, who performed high-flying stunts for the crowd.

The riders, stars from the "Dew Tour" took time during the show to stress the importance of bicycle safety. After the show, everyone was invited for a meet-and-greet with the BMX riders and a kids safety spot and activity zone with local law enforcement. The event was free and open to the public. Shelby Bicycle Days continues through Saturday.
