Some of the best young golfers in the US and the world are at Westbrook Country Club through Wednesday competing in the PGA Jr. Series. In addition to being one of the top tournaments in this series, it's also a chance for young golfers to show their talents to college coaches who are out-n-about watching.

The tournament at Westbrook will finish up on Wednesday afternoon. After the first day on the boy's side the top score belonged to Conor Rooney with a first day total 69. On the girls side, Lois Kaye Go and Jacinta Pikunas both shot a first day round 73.
