Ohio Governor John Kasich visited Richland County Tuesday, to speak to during a Legislative Luncheon hosted by the Regional Chamber Partnership. Two-hundred-forty members of the Ashland, Bucyrus, Clear Fork Valley, Galion-Crestline, and Richland Area Chambers of Commerce packed a banquet room at Deer Ridge Golf Club in Bellville. While the governor said he was not there to campaign in his bid for re-election against Democrat Ed FitzGerald, he did tell his audience about getting the state out of an eight-billion dollar deficit and stockpiling a one-and-a- half-billion dollar surplus, and of the economic growth and job creation that has occurred during his first term.
