Woman And Three Children Hurt In U.S. 30 Rollover Crash

A rollover crash sends a woman and three children to Ohio Health MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. The accident occurred at 1 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 30 at U.S. 42, sending a throng of law enforcement and rescue squad personnel to the scene.

The car driven by Cynthia Edwards was westbound when it crossed through a median for an unknown reason, and rolled over three times in the eastbound lane.

Edwards and the children were not restrained and were ejected. Edwards suffered two broken legs, while the children had what appeared to be minor injuries.

Two witnesses stopped, called 911, and raced to help Edwards and the ten-year-old boy and eight-and-six-year-old girls.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Adam Burkhart says Edwards will at least be cited for failing to control her car and for not having herself and the children restrained.

The accident blocked U.S. 30 eastbound traffic for an hour.
