An issue that took the town of Galion and the Country by storm, comes to a resolution. After Melody Mohn and her Partner Hela Young were denied a family pool pass to Heise Pool in Galion earlier this summer, Council decided a change was needed.

The city Ordinance states " a family pass must be issued to a mother and father" Council met a few weeks ago to discuss changes to the wording and hear residents opinions. Galion's Parks and Recreation Committee agreed at their meeting last night to change the wording to a "group" pass which will include up to two adults and an unlimited number of children age 18 and younger, who are related to at least one of the adults.

The ordinance will be read for a second time at Council's meeting next week, and if approved will go into effect within 30 days.
