GMAC Meet Held Saturday

The Walnut Hills Swim Club coached by Brock Spurling won the overall GMAC swimming championships outpointing runner-up Clear Fork 2,079 to 1,821.5 with Ashland coming in third with 1,690. Some 500 swimmers in five different age groups took part in the Saturday event at Clear Fork pool in Lexington.

Some of the exceptional performances were turned in by Wilson Cannon,(WH)who won three events in the 11-12 50 free, 50 butterfly and 100 FS. Kelsi Brown (WH)winning the 13-14 50 BS in record time and Tanner Holmes winning the 9-10 25 yard FS. Walnut Hills was able to edge out Clear Fork 994-992 on the women's side, while in the men's division Walnut Hills slipped past Woodland Swim Club 1,085 to 915.
