Motorcycle/SUV crash claims the life of a Mansfield man

A Mansfield man is dead following an accident on Park Avenue West. Mansfield police are investigating the cause of the fatal motorcycle and SUV crash that claimed the life of Paul Gross, 46.

Police say the accident that occurred Tuesday at about 10 p.m. near Kroger on Park Avenue West.  

According to police the SUV went left of center and collided with the motorcycle.

Police say Gross was thrown from the motorcycle and was unresponsive when medics arrived. Gross was transported to OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital where he died at 10:19 pm.

Gross' body has been taken to the Summit County morgue for an autopsy.

The driver of the SUV, Julie Krebs, 22, and a passenger, were also transported to the hospital. 

Krebs is expected to be arraigned in Mansfield Municipal Court on a charge of aggravated vehicular manslaughter.
