A 36-year-old man possibly trying to cut guide wires on an electrical substation in Mansfield was severely shocked and died from his injuries Thursday afternoon. The incident happened at Ohio Edison Bowman Substation 152 on Longview Avenue. Mansfield Police Chief Ken Coontz says its unclear why the man crossed the fence at the substation and added he was not working for an electric company. Chief Coontz says the man's name is being withheld at this time as detectives are interviewing family members to see if they can determine why the man was at the substation. Coontz says it's a tragic accident and extremely unfortunate.
