Madison Township's Church of God celebrated family and close friends with an event that aimed to bring people together. The church's second annual Family and Friends Day saw various summer-themed activities such as cookouts, a few rounds of basketball, a bouncy house and pony rides for children, and a church service.

"It's been a fun-filled day," said Patricia Bond, the church's Christian education director. "This year, [family and friend day] has been bigger, we've had a greater outreach... this year is just going fantastic, and we can build off this for next year and come out stronger because of it."
