Man Dies After Lightning Strike At Venice Beach

A man rushed to the hospital after a rare lightning strike at California's Venice Beach has died. The Los Angeles Coroner's Office says it's unclear if he was killed by the lightning, drowned, or was trampled by the crowd. The lightning strike Sunday afternoon in the water and on the beach. A spokeswoman with the Los Angeles Fire Department says those that were injured were either in or near the water. The man who died was among eight people taken to the hospital with injuries after the strike.
