Christmas In July Held at Dayspring In Mansfield

The joy of Christmas was all around at Dayspring assisted living center Tuesday night. Christmas in July is annual event at Dayspring thanks to the generosity of TYCO, a local company which supplies high quality electronic component products. More than 50 residents were treated to a picnic, bingo and gifts all provided by the company.

Activities Director, Amy Clark says the time and money they have donated mean so much to the residents. TYCO employee, Linda Nolasco,says she was lead by a higher power to bring joy to Dayspring residents, and it all started with a small bake sale to raise money for the event.

Residents received a 40" flat screen TV for one of their lounges as well as a $100 movie gift card. TYCO hopes to one day provide each resident with a flat screen of their own.

Over the years, they have donated money to purchase a handicap automatic door opener, benches, horse shoe pits, fishing poles, toiletry items and more. In order to fund this event, the company collects donations through raffles and bake sales throughout the year.
