The Mansfield School Board is financially ready for the new school year, after passing its permanent appropriations during a brief meeting Wednesday morning.

The district is still in fiscal emergency, and will be for a few more years, but superintendent Brian Garverick says it has enough money to educate children, with an adequate number of teachers to not cause class sizes to grow. The first day of classes in Mansfield Schools is August 27.
