A house caught fire on the corner of Raymond Avenue and Lida Street in Mansfield on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters worked quickly to put out the blaze, but the house was a total loss. A utility cable was burned from its fixture and fell into a neighbor's yard. No damage was done to the surrounding houses.

One of the occupants of the house was taken to the hospital by ambulance and is being treated for smoke inhalation. Mansfield Police were called around the same time firefighters were to respond to a domestic dispute, but the call may have just been in response to the occupants' yelling about the fire, according to Mansfield Fire Department investigator Harlan Barrick.  Barrick says the fire started near a couch in the house's living room, and the blaze looks to be accidental.
