The Ohio Bureau of Investigation is looking into a fatal shooting at a Walmart. Police say John Crawford waved a "rifle-type" weapon at customers inside the store Tuesday night. Crawford was shot and killed after he refused to follow their orders. "Responding officers, Sgt. David Darkow and Officer Sean Williams, arrived on scene within three minutes and contained the situation.," says Beavercreek Police Chief Dennis Evers. "Officers confronted the subject inside the store area near the pet supplies holding a rifle. The officers gave verbal commands to the subject to drop the weapon. The subject later identified as John Crawford was shot after failing to comply with the officers' commands." Crawford's girlfriend says she was with him and he did not have a gun. She says he may have picked up a fake gun from the toy aisle. Authorities say a customer was running from the chaotic scene and collapsed. She later died at the hospital. Investigators say the officers involved in this shooting have been placed on administrative leave.
