Mansfield Christian School earns national recognition, as one of the 50 best Christian schools in America. The private, tuition school on Logan Road opened in 1961, and today averages 525 students in kindergarten through twelfth grades, although it has room for 200 more. 90-percent of its graduating classes go on to college, a factor for the recognition by the website, www.thebestschools.org. Now that it's one of the best, Superintendent Dr. Cy Smith says the goal is to keep improving and become the best. No plans are set, but a celebration will likely be held when Mansfield Christian starts the new school year August 20th. Mansfield Christian is the only one in Ohio on the top- fifty list.
