Galion Community Airport Holds Pancake Breakfast

Galion Community Airport held a pancake breakfast for the community, an event that is planned to become an annual get-together for pilots, plane enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to come. Tom McFadden, Vice President of Chapter 148 of the Experimental Aircraft Association, explained how the event got started.

"One year, we actually had a fellow who was just flying over the airport," Fadden recalled. "He heard them talking on the radio about a pancake breakfast, and so he just landed his helicopter and ate breakfast with us, and he left for Connecticut after that."

McFadden says over 50 airports were invited to participate. Onlookers watched as planes flew in to join them for breakfast, which included orange juice, pancakes and more.
