Pleasant Hill Lake Park held its annual Hawaiian Luau, complete with a pig roast and several Hawaiian-themed activities such as limbo.

"I think it provides a place for people to bring their families for a very low cost," said Louis Anders, park specialist. "It costs five dollars to get into the park, and you can stay all day and do a lot of different things. Everything is open to the public. You can come to all of our events, come down to the marina, use the beach, and attend all of our special events that we have throughout the summer."

Pleasant Hill Lake Park holds different events on each Saturday throughout the summer. Their next few events include a Corn Hole Championship on August 16th, a live animal presentation by the Akron Zoo on August 23rd, and a Labor Day celebration on August 30th complete with fireworks.
